There once was a time where the Denver Nuggets ran one of the best fast breaks. With Ty Lawson, Andre Iguodala, JaVale McGee and Kenneth Faried around and the Nuggets harassing teams on the perimeter there were nightly highlights of the Nuggets flying down the floor for dunks.
The Brian Shaw got in charge, the Nuggets all started to hate things and they became a train wreck that no one wanted to watch. Luckily they acquired Mr. Trill Barton at the trade deadline and because of that we are starting to get back some flashes of old Nuggets.

That right there is just some old-fashioned fun fastbreak basketball, helped in part by some bad Nets defense. Will Barton has had some nice flashes in his career but the fact that he is so easily able to dribble in between three Nets and throw a one-handed look away pass to Kenneth Faried for a wide open dunk is bad. All the Nets had to do was step in on Barton or keep their hands wide to close down passing lanes and they thankfully weren’t able to do either.
At the end of the day well all need a bit of Trill Barton in our lives and tonight we got it.
