Penance for JaMarcus Russell

God smote the Oakland Raiders in 2007 after he tempted them with the apple named JaMarcus Russell. Calvin Johnson and Adrian Peterson were both options at the top spot in that year’s draft, but instead the Buccaneers of the other Bay went ahead with the purple drank soaked buffoon at quarterback.

Well, the Raiders have made the right choices in the draft, picking up Khalil Mack and Derek Carr with their first two picks in the 2014 draft and making shrewd salary cap decisions. They have paid their price and are repentant for their sin.

It’s time they returned back to the light.
