Isaiah Thomas with the coldest stare down in victory vs. Phoenix Suns
Isaiah Thomas was traded from the Phoenix Suns to the Boston Celtics less than a week ago. Thomas wrecked the Suns his return to Phoenix and left the court with a win, and with one of the coldest stare downs you’ll see.
When are teams going to realize that they should stop slighting Isaiah Thomas? He might only stand at 5’9 but make no mistake, Thomas is one of the most talented players in the NBA.

At the beginning of the season Thomas was slighted by the Sacramento Kings as they let him walk in free agency to sign with the Phoenix Suns. Thomas responded by being one of the leading candidates for the Sixth of the Year award.
However, even though Thomas was on the Suns roster this season, he was recently traded to the Boston Celtics five days ago. On Monday night, Thomas played against the Suns and he played with a chip on his shoulder that was big enough to carry a boulder.
There should have been a memorandum sent out to the Suns organization because when Thomas walked back into his old employers building he was out looking for blood.
The score was 101-100 with the Celtics up with 1:42 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Thomas got the basketball on the right-wing, and he proceeded to use his bread and butter, the pick and roll to get open. As Thomas took used the screen, he took one dribble to his left, and then immediately brought the basketball back with a crossover to his right hand and pulled up from the three-point line as he nailed the dagger against his former team.
To add further insult to injury, the person who Thomas hit the shot over was Brandon Knight, one of the players who was acquired after Thomas was traded away from the Suns. In addition to making the three-pointer, Thomas was also fouled, giving him the rare four point play.
While his Celtics teammates were standing up cheering and shouting in joy, Thomas on the other hand was looking very determined, focused, and angry. Thomas glared at the Suns bench and gave them a stare down so cold that it would’ve woke up any person sleeping in bed. In other words, Thomas was focused.
Thomas finished with 21 points, one rebound, seven assists and one steal in his return. What hurt even more about Thomas performance is that he cost the Suns a chance at victory. For the Suns they are trying to make the playoffs in the gauntlet known as the Western Conference and this loss definitely hurt their chances to catch the Oklahoma City Thunder.
It has been said that revenge is a dish best served cold.
