Luis Suarez scores on his first game back in England since leaving Liverpool
Luis Suarez has been criticized for his lack of scoring this season, with only seven goals in over 20 games for his new club. However he has recently turned a corner and started showing signs of last season’s player who claimed the European Golden Boot.
His recent run has continued today against an old rival. Man City beat Liverpool to last year’s Premier League title in a very exciting and heartbreaking race. Suarez has today gotten a little revenge on his former tormentor by sccoring an away goal.
It was pretty shocking defending from England’s champions and it was very fortunate that the ball fell to the Barcelona striker, however you have to credit the controversial hitman for his finish. He smashed it past a helpless Joe Harte.
Suarez’s Barcelona were expected to win the game prior to kick off and this goal has only cemented those expectations. The game is still up for grabs but you have to worry for Man City as Barcelona have only conceded 19 goals out of their 30 games this season.
