Barcelona travel to Man City hoping to recreate their success from last season
Man City have a stern task ahead of them as they come up against Spanish giants Barcelona in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie. They will have some pretty bad memories of coming up against Messi and his men as they did the double over them at this stage of the competition last year.

Barcelona are heavily favored to repeat the success of last year that saw them win the tie 4-1 over the two games. It was fiery first leg with a red card for Martin Dimichelis that saw Barcelona cruise to a comfortable win.
Man City are coming off the back of a tremendous 5-0 win against Newcastle on Saturday, but even with the confidence that game would have given them it probably won’t make a difference today. Sergio Aguero is in top form, but he hasn’t come up against a defense as efficient as Barcelona’s this season. Barcelona have only conceded 14 goals out of 24 games in their domestic league, and only five in six games in their group stage.
We are in for a pretty exciting game, with both teams expected play an attractive attacking style.
Here’s the line ups for today’s game:
I really fear for the Man City defense when they come up against Messi, Neymar and Suarez. Especially when you take in to account the fact they haven’t kept a clean sheet in 10 games, a run that has seen them concede against Burnley, Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough.
