Shooting Guard Picks

High Salary: If you’re saving money for a big payout, James Harden is the first player you have to consider even though his 11,100 salary is the highest of any player in action tonight. Harden has been on a crazy roll lately and dropped 66.2 FanDuel points against the Wolves on Monday with 31 points, 11 rebounds, ten assists, and four blocks.  Harden and the Rockets take on the Clippers tonight, and “The Beard” will be looking to erase the memory of a poor performance in LA just before the All Star break.  I expect him to have another monster night tonight especially if Patrick Beverley is out (questionable-flu).

High Salary: Another big-salary SG to consider, Jimmy Butler will be asked to carry more of the Bulls offense with Derrick Rose sidelined.  Butler stepped up to the task when Rose missed time earlier this year and is a consistent multi-category option that you can go with tonight if you need to save the money or are looking to fade Harden.

Bonus Blend of Salary/Value: The Greek Freak, Giannis Antetokounmpo, continues to play over 30 minutes every game  and contribute in multiple ways.  In each of his last ten games, Antetokounmpo has double-digit scoring with at least five rebounds in nine of those contests.  He has been able to produce at least 19 FanDuel points in each of those games with eight games over 25 FanDuel points and five games with at least 30 FanDuel points. Tonight, the Bucks will possibly have Michael Carter-Williams to insert into the rotation which should help their offense in their matchup against Philadelphia.  In a favorable matchup, look for Giannis to post another solid, well-balanced stat line.

High Value: The Celtics have been riding Avery Bradley‘s recent hot streak and his role doesn’t look to be cut back even with deadline acquisition Isaiah Thomas entering the rotation. In his last three games, Bradley has averaged 23.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 4.3 steals which has resulted in an average of over 43 FanDuel points per game in those three contests. With Jared Sullinger out for the year, Bradley will continue to be the team’s top scoring option which lines him up for another good game tonight against the Knicks.

High Value: In what should be a high-scoring game in Houston, I like J.J. Redick to bounce back from a rough outing against the Grizzlies and be a solid option at just 4,500.  Redick only managed eight points on Monday in 37 minutes, but had posted four straight game with 15 or more before that. He’s one of the few sub-5,000 options who will get plenty of time on the floor tonight, so give him a look if that’s the price range you’re shopping in.

Bonus Bargain Option: If you have to go even cheaper than Redick, check out Nets SG Markel Brown who played 45 minutes for Brooklyn on Monday and turned in a solid line of 10 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks, two assists, and two steals and his way to 37.2 FanDuel points. Brown is an exceptional athlete and will produce nice lines if Coach Lionel Hollins keeps playing him huge minutes like this. Brown should be in line for time for tonight at least since Bojan Bogdanovic has already been ruled out.
