The FBI reacted on Twitter to the Parks and Recreation finale

FBI’s official account tweeted in response to finale of Parks and Recreation

Parks and Recreation, the much-loved NBC comedy, ended its seven-season run last night. The show’s farewell episode was basically perfect, providing satisfying looks into the future for each of the main characters (and some minor ones), and balanced heart and laughs well enough to be everything you could possibly want in a finale.

The episode, which has been extremely well reviewed, brought an end to a strong final season for one of the best comedies that has ever aired. If you haven’t seen that, stop reading this and go get that done. It’s your civic duty. Just ask the FBI.

It would appear that we laypeople were not the only ones watching the finale last night. The FBI (yes, the real FBI) was apparently paying attention, judging from this tweet:

The tweet, of course, is a reference to character Andy Dwyer (Chris Pratt)’s alter ego, FBI agent Bert Macklin. (If you don’t know that, then let me say again, why are you reading this? Get outta here and go do your homework! WHich is to watch this show).

Bert Macklin was an agent who never played by the rules, but always got the job done. Here’s the FBI’s best agent in action, in his first appearance:

That tweet must have been a welcome break for whoever runs the FBI’s twitter, which mostly deals with pictures of missing persons. It must have been nice to inject some levity into the job.

And I don’t know about you, but I’d like to think the “to learn about a real FBI career” bit was actually intended for Chris Pratt himself. The FBI wants him on board. And why wouldn’t they? He’s already the best agent they’ve ever had.
