The father of Adrian Peterson may have shed some light on where his son could be headed if he’s traded from the Vikings

On Thursday, for a short time, there were a lot of people that were under the assumption that Adrian Peterson had been reinstated into the NFL, although that turned out not to be the case. However, the fact of the matter is that sooner or later Adrian Peterson will be back in the NFL, and we also know that he doesn’t want to play for the Minnesota Vikings any longer.

Being under contract to the team this season, the popular train of thought is that Peterson is lobbying hard for the team to trade him, not matter how much the Vikings may not want to do so. Well on Friday, Peterson’s father, Nelson, shed some light on a few of the teams that he’s hearing might be interested in a deal for the star back.

In an interview with the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Mr. Peterson noted that he has specifically heard of three teams that would be interested in his son’s services: The Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts.

“I’ve heard rumors, Arizona,” Peterson’s father, Nelson, said Thursday. “I’ve also heard the rumors of Indianapolis and the Colts, going there with a quarterback the caliber of (Andrew) Luck. I’ve also heard the Cowboys, coming back home with the Cowboys, behind that offensive line that they have.”

All three teams make sense to bring in Peterson and we’ve already heard the chatter that the running back himself has went to the Vikings to request a deal specifically to the Cowboys, something the Vikings shot down immediately.

Also, as far as the Vikings standing their ground on not dealing Peterson, Nelson believes that if a team makes them an offer they simply can’t refuse, they’ll have no choice but to cave.

“If a blockbuster deal opens and a team wants to gave them something they can’t turn down,” Nelson Peterson added, “they’re going to have to take a look at it.”

Again, all three teams make sense, and with that being said, which one of these teams do you think Adrian Peterson fits on the most? Let us know in the comments below.
