Bill O’Reilly saw his viewer numbers crush President Obama’s interview on MSNBC.
Political pundit and the bane of much of the liberal community Bill O’Reilly has a lot to be happy about. Last night, his show The O’Reilly Factor garnered over 700,000 viewers in the 25 – 54 age bracket, beating out an interview with President Obama conducted by Jose Diaz-Balart on MSNBC that was shown at the same time.

This has to be the ultimate win for any conservative news pundit.
The interview with the president went over the issues of immigration policy. In light of President Obama’s announcements that he was going to make some great changes in immigration, the interview was held at Florida International University. Despite the important subject matter, however, the interview only gained about 129,000 viewers. Middling compared to O’Reilly’s show and even CNN’s AC 360 which garnered about 162,000 people in the same time.
O’Reilly’s show tackled the issue of supposed flimsy reporting he did while at CBS News. This all comes at the heels of Brian Williams being suspended from his anchoring roles for fabricating a story about being on a helicopter that was attacked during the invasion of Iraq. O’Reilly came out on Jimmy Kimmel’s show and defended his fellow anchor.
However, it seems as though even he will have to explain for his past as evidence now comes up that questions his reporting on conflict in the Falkland Islands. Though it is understood that O’Reilly will probably come out of this undeterred. After all, the whole situation surrounding Brian Williams was really a one note thing anyway and the media being the way they are will probably move on to the next thing.
Even Jon Stewart has gone on to defend O’Reilly (though he claims that O’Reilly’s reporting is mostly fiction anyway).
