Nerlens Noel destroys Nene’s shot (video)
By Andrew Ross
Nerlens Noel is having a solid rookie season, and it’s clear that he is already great at one thing: blocking shots.
The Philadelphia 76ers appear to have a great rookie on their team in Nerlens Noel, and he is going to be a cornerstone of their road to becoming a respectable team again.

Although Noel was drafted in 2013, he is a rookie this year only because he didn’t play at all last year due to a torn ACL that he suffered in college as a member of the Kentucky Wildcats.
He has gotten a bit better after each and every game this season, and that pattern is in strong effect as February has been his best month yet. In 10 games this month, Noel is averaging 10.3 points (46 percent shooting), 6.7 rebounds and 2.8 blocks.
Noel already has two blocks at halftime of tonight’s matchup against the Washington Wizards, and this one against Nene sure was fun to watch.
Hopefully this is only a sign of things to come for Noel and the 76ers.
I know a lot of people have probably forgotten about Joel Embiid since he is out for his rookie season just like Noel was, but I think the two of them can create a dominant duo for the future of Philadelphia.
