In Port Charlotte, Florida, the Tampa Bay Rays are ready to begin the season under new manager Kevin Cash after their longtime manager Joe Madden left the team to become manager of the Chicago Cubs.
With spring training being one of the best times of the year for fans to interact with their favorite players, one elderly fan went as far as to remove clothing to obtain the autograph of third baseman Evan Longoria.
The Florida man kindly without being asked removed his shirt so that Longoria could autograph it.
Longoria could have autographed the shirt while the fan was still wearing it, but the senior Rays fan went the distance and gave no care as his saggy body hung out over his pants.
The Florida man ended up getting his autograph and Longoria thanked everyone on Twitter for the warm reception he got arriving to spring training.
Even though the man got his autograph, it’s probably best to keep all clothing on when having a player sign your shirt.
