The St. Louis Blues’ forward gave one young fan the moment of a lifetime

One of the great things in sports is when fans get to meet their heroes. One young fan got to meet St. Louis Blues forward T.J. Oshie thanks in part to Oshie, the St. Louis Blues and the North Dakota Make-A-Wish chapter.

14-year-old Chris Hendrickson has been a fan of T.J. Oshie since the Blues forward played at North Dakota.

Thanks to Make-A-Wish, Hendrickson, who has Morquio syndrome, was able to meet his hero.

According to the Grand Forks Herald, Hendrickson was diagnosed when he was two-years-old.

"Chris was diagnosed with Morquio syndrome, or mucopolysaccharidosis type 4A, when he was 2 years old, Johnson said. A missing enzyme causes his cells to become deformed and affects his bone growth, leaving Chris much shorter than his classmates."

When Hendrickson and his family arrived to St. Louis, Hendrickson got to shoot around with Oshie on the practice ice and visit the Blues locker room.

During the game, Hendrickson was able to visit the broadcast booth and watch the game from a suite.

Even better, Oshie scored a goal in the game against the Montreal Canadiens and afterward gave the puck to Hendrickson along with his jersey from the game.

It was a moment that Hendrickson will never forget.
