By Sam Richmond
Los Angeles Clippers guard Jamal Crawford made an outstanding play on Sunday, stuffing Chicago Bulls big-man Pau Gasol near the basket.
Los Angeles Clippers guard Jamal Crawford isn’t exactly a defense-first player.
However, the Clippers’ scoring machine made one heck of a play on the defensive end in the third quarter of the team’s contest against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.
Yes, that’s a 6’5″ Crawford swatting 7’0″ Pau Gasol on a post-up play. It’s an incredible play from Crawford and one that happened in an important time of the game.

Crawford’s defense on Sunday was much-needed, considering he was off with his shot for much of the game. The 34-year-old was just 6-of-18 from the field and 1-of-6 from beyond the arc.
Still, Crawford and the Clippers were able to get the win, pushing their record to 39-21. Los Angeles currently has the fifth best record in the Western Conference; they are .5 games behind the Portland Trail Blazers for the No. 4 seed and .5 games ahead of the Dallas Mavericks for the No. 6 seed.
Crawford is averaging 16.5 points (40.2 percent shooting from the field, 33.6 percent shooting from beyond the arc) and 2.6 assists per game this season.
