It’s been a while since someone has given us a good ol’ powerful dunk that brings down the goal, but this Northern Illinois player finally threw us a bone.

Pete Rakocevic is a second-year player who only sees an average of 16 minutes of action a night with averages of 4.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and a shooting percentage over 40 percent — but he sure made his presence known last night.

Northern Illinois got a big upset yesterday when they dominated Central Michigan 73-55, but the final score isn’t what everyone is talking about the day after.

Rakocevic only played eight minutes in the game but was still able to finish with six points (3-of-3 shooting), three rebounds and one monster moment.

What is probably the most amazing thing about this play is the fact that Rakocevic doesn’t even average one field goal made per game, but he got everything he could out of this one shot.

Not to be a downer or anything like that, but this may very well be the ceiling for Rakocevic, as he will likely be reminder forever for this play. But even if that’s the case, it’s one helluva play to be remembered for.

Also — let’s all be happy the Central Michigan player who almost got murdered was able to get out of the way while the goal was collapsing. If there’s one way to ruin a sick jam that destroys a rim, it’s to have someone get hurt — but thankfully that wasn’t the case here.
