The Philadelphia Eagles will be looking to spend a lot of money in free agency.

A few years ago, the Philadelphia Eagles went on a spending spree and brought in many quality free agents.

Yes, the team that Vince Young referred to as a “Dream Team”.

While the Eagles did really nothing with that roster, it looks as if they haven’t learned from their mistakes. With NFL Free Agency approaching, it’s now been reported that the Eagles will be huge players in free agency as they look to address their roster on both sides of the football.

Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com reported that all signs are pointing to the Eagles being huge players in free agency.

"The Eagles have no shortage of holes on their roster that require an immediate upgrade, especially at CB, S, arguably OG, and possibly ILB, OLB, QB and WR depending on how situations play out with players already on the Eagles’ roster. The Eagles have the cap space to make whatever moves they need to make. The Eagles already cut a pair of positively contributing players (James Casey and Todd Herremans) to clear even more cap space, and they’re likely to release more players or get them to take pay cuts."

If they also plan on trading up for Marcus Mariota’ it’s clear that the Eagles are in win-now mode and they’re putting all their chips in to win the Super Bowl in 2016.

While that might be far-fetched, if the Eagles do in fact go all out in free agency, those will be the expectations.

Philadelphia arguably had the worst secondary in the league last year and considering how they need to make improvements across their defense and, if Jeremy Maclin goes elsewhere in free agency, at the wide receiver position, it wouldn’t come as a surprise at all if the Eagles put their chips in the middle of the proverbial table and go all-in.
