The Indianapolis Colts are one of the potential suitors for Dallas Cowboys superstar running back DeMarco Murray.
There are quite a few high-profile free agents on the market this offseason, and one of them is Dallas Cowboys star running back DeMarco Murray. He is coming off of a huge season in 2014, but the Cowboys simply cannot afford to offer him the type of deal that he is looking for with star wide receiver Dez Bryant also needing a new deal.
Quite a few teams are expected to show interest in signing him this offseason, and one potential suitor is the Indianapolis Colts according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
Potential suitors for DeMarco Murray, per @RapSheet on Total Access: Colts, Cardinals, Jaguars, Seahawks (if Lynch does retire).

Needless to say, all four of those teams in the situations listed could use a new star running back. Indianapolis is the team that we are going to focus on at this point in time. They are without a question the best fit for Murray, but they don’t have the money to give him the type of deal that he is looking for right now.

Andrew Luck led the Colts to the number one passing offense in the entire league last year, but he needs some help on the ground. Indianapolis hasn’t had a legitimate ground game since Edgerrin James left town, and Murray would immediately change that.
During the 2014 season with the Cowboys, Murray ended up rushing for 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns on 392 carries. He was an absolute workhorse for Dallas, and was one of the main reasons that they finished the season at the top of the NFC East and ended up winning their first playoff game.
Murray would immediately make the Colts one of the favorites to win next seasons Super Bowl if they are able to sign him, but as we saw last year there are a number of factors that can derail those hopes.
