Cole Beasley will return to the Dallas Cowboys for the next four years after they reached a deal Tuesday.

Cole Beasley spent the first three years of his career with Dallas, and he’ll be spending at least four more after both parties reached a deal on the wide receiver who was set to become a free agent.

Beasley was an undrafted wide receiver out of SMU in 2012 when Dallas signed him to a three year deal. Rand Getlin reported Tuesday that Beasley’s new deal would guarantee $7 million for the wide-out.

Cole Beasley has erupted into a great asset for the Cowboys. After a rough start to his season where he caught more than two passes in only two of the first 11 games, Beasley became a huge part of the Cowboys run into the playoffs as he caught more than two passes in four of the last five games of the regular season including three touchdowns.

Beasley is known more as a slot receiver, but due to the need to move Dez Bryant around, he appears on the outside as well. The Dallas Cowboys have now brought back Dez Bryant, who they slapped with a franchise tag on Monday, as well as Beasley, now, who caught for 107 yards in the Cowboys’ two playoff games.

The Dallas Cowboys are still up in the air about DeMarco Murray, but Murray said Tuesday that he would prefer to be with the Cowboys.

If Dallas can get Murray back, they’re offense would look to be in great shape and picking back up off of where it was last season.
