1. A Legitimate Starting Running Back

One of the biggest needs for the Oakland Raiders offense is at the running back position. They tried to make things work with Maurice Jones-Drew and Darren McFadden last season, but it just wasn’t the combination that they needed.

Derek Carr has a lot of talent and appears to be their future at quarterback, but they need to bring him some help on the ground. There are quite a few running backs in both free agency and the draft that would be better than either of the two backs that Oakland had last season, and the Raiders need to go out and get one of them. Perhaps a player like Tevin Coleman in the draft or Mark Ingram in free agency would be a perfect fit.

There is a chance that the Raiders will stay in-house and give Latavius Murray a chance at starting, but they would likely prefer to bring in a more proven option. Don’t be surprised to see them be aggressive in their search for a running back in free agency.
