Boston Red Sox 2015 season preview and predictions

3 Keys for Success
- Pitching, pitching and more pitching
- Swinging a deal
- Health
Worst case scenario for the everyday lineup is a couple of guys get injured. It won’t matter, that’s how loaded this team is offensively. Boston even has the two wild cards is outfielders Rusney Castillo and Mookie Betts. They’re both young and loaded with talent.

Clay Buchholz is currently projected to be the team’s opening day starter. This is not a great situation. So much so, that rumors for Philadelphia Phillies lefty Cole Hamels has already begun ramping up. Right now Boston has no intentions of parting with Betts, but all indicators are there that he’s the desired man in Philly right now. Veteran Shane Victorino has been bandied about, but the Phillies have no interest.
Unless one of these middle of the rotation caliber guys stun the baseball world, they’ll have to swing an early season deal for a top of the line starter. Only then will they be a fantastic threat to pick up their fourth championship since 2004.
