Fantasy Basketball: Jeremy Lin Is Worth A Pick Up And Daily News

Jeremy Lin is worth a pick up.

In case you have been living under a rock and have not noticed, Jeremy Lin is playing very well for the L.A. Lakers. He is not exactly sparking the same kind of ‘Linsanity’ that he did a few years back with the Knicks, but he is certainly worthy of picking him up and riding him while he is hot. In his last six games, Lin has averaged 18.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.2 three-pointers in 28 minutes per game off the bench. Unfortunately the Lakers will likely continue to bring him off the bench, but Lin has managed to adapt his game and is really starting to pile up the numbers.

Here is Lin with a 4th quarter buzzer-beater that did not matter.

Nuggets minutes make more sense early on.

Well, so far so good for the minutes distribution for the Denver Nuggets. Tonight the better players all saw well over 30 minutes and Kenneth Faried’s owners have to be pleased that he had a double-double in his first game. Even Danilo Gallinari played 37 minutes tonight and had 26 points and 7 rebounds.

In the same game for the Bucks, Khris Middleton and Ersan Ilyasova both had nice games. Both players are playing well as of late and could either be considered to add or at least add to your watchlist.

Other news and information.

Jimmy Butler has been issued a new timeline according to ESPN Chicago. Instead of the 3-4 weeks that we were led to believe yesterday it is now 3-6 weeks. I suppose his fantasy owners can hope that he will return on the shorter 3 week side, but if you are contending and in a keeper league it might be time to consider letting him go for someone who can help you take home that championship.

The remaining healthy Bulls all played well tonight as they defeat the Wizards. You could consider adding Nikola Mirotic over the next few weeks while Taj Gibson is out and even Tony Snell could be worth a look as he played 40 minutes tonight and scored 11 points. Even Doug McDermott could be worth a look in deeper leagues as he saw 15 minutes tonight and once he knocks the rust off could likely see quite a few more.

Alexey Shved could be worth adding to your watch list as he was the only Knick to play over 30 minutes tonight and he piled up 15 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. The Knicks are a tough team to trust in fantasy as they used a total of 12 players tonight and the second highest amount of minutes was for Shane Larkin with 27. I would not suggest using them if you can avoid it.
