By Jack Crosby
With the NCAA Tournament just a few weeks away now, we are learning who the announcers will be for the March Madness festivities this year
The college basketball conference tournaments are getting underway, which means that March Madness are in full swing. In a few short weeks we will be fully engulfed in the NCAA Tournament craziness and now we know who will be leading us through it all as the announcers.
On Wednesday the announcer pairings were released by Turner Sports and it’s more of the usual suspects as previous years.
In maybe the best sight on the entire list, Craig Sager will indeed be on the sidelines doing his reporting, which is another testament to how valiantly he has battled Leukemia throughout the last year.
Here’s a look at the announcer pairings for the 2015 NCAA Tournament:
ANNOUNCER PAIRINGS | ||
---|---|---|
Play-by-Play | Analyst | Reporter |
Jim Nantz | Bill Raftery Grant Hill | Tracy Wolfson * |
Marv Albert | Chris Webber Len Elmore | Craig Sager * |
Verne Lundquist | Jim Spanarkel | Allie LaForce * |
Kevin Harlan | Reggie Miller Dan Bonner | Rachel Nichols * |
Ian Eagle | Doug Gottlieb | Evan Washburn |
Brian Anderson | Steve Smith | Lewis Johnson |

Andrew Catalon | Steve Lappas | Jamie Erdahl |
If anything, Chris Webber is also a welcome addition to the play-by-play team, as he will be paired with Sager, Marv Albert and Len Elmore. Webber has been doing fantastic as an NBA announcer and now he gets to spend some time honing those skills with maybe the best team the NCAA Tournament has to offer.
