It’s hard to say how this Victor Oladipo shot made its way into the hoop

No one in the arena, including Victor Oladipo himself, could have thought this shot attempt was going to go in. Oladipo was just flinging the ball up in the general direction of the hoop after being accosted by some Phoenix defenders.

Then, somehow, it happened:

How indeed.

Did Oladipo move that ball using his psychic powers? Is he the one person in the world who has perfect aim in those exact circumstances?

So many questions, so few answers. All we know is that the shot went in; the why of it all will probably never be answered.

Oladipo, the second-year Orlando Magic swingman, is fast cementing himself as probably the best player to come out of the 2013 draft (not that that’s saying much, that draft was horrendous), and a piece the Magic can build around in the post-Dwight Howard era.

Now if he can keep making shots like that? He’ll have to go play in a separate league. For sorcerers. Or maybe he can join Harry Potter’s Quidditch team.

I don’t know, though, I still think Russell Westbrook won the night.
