Round 3 pick 71 –  Daryl Williams, OT (Oklahoma)

Whether Cutler, Jimmy Clausen or another QB takes snaps under center, the Bears are going to need a tougher front line. Former Oklahoma offensive tackle Daryl Williams comes equipped with initial quickness and natural bulk, serving as an anchor on the field. He drives blockers off the ball, which would fortify the Bears’ shriveled pocket.

For as big as he is (6-foot-5, 327 pounds), his lateral movement will require improvement. Williams does, however, have strong hands that can counter twists, as well as a highly esteemed work ethic that’ll be crucial on a team with a lengthy to-do list.
