Plane crashes are a terrifying thing — which is an obvious understatement but it’s a needed statement since not everyone is totally scared of them. Place New York Giants tight end Larry Donnell in the category of people who are not phased by planes that fall out of the sky and crash into a runway gate.
That’s exactly what happened to a Delta flight that Donnell was on in New York on Thursday morning. The flight crashed just after it tried to take off, ending up in a gate just past the runway. To be fair, it was pretty sketchy out in terms of the weather, but that doesn’t mean the incident was any less terrifying.
But rather than cower in fear or pray to whatever God he believes in, Larry Donnell live tweeted his plane crash in real time. As news was breaking that a plane has skidded off the runway at LaGuardia, Donnell was on the scene reporting — as a victim and a citizen journalist.
Donnell is alright after the plane crash, as is everyone else who was on board and it appears this was just a minor incident — all things considered. But the fact that he was there to live tweet what is one of the most terrifying things a human being can fathom just shows what a stud Donnell is.
Of course, he’s probably used to things in the air crashing to the ground — after all, Eli Manning is his quarterback.
