Joel Embiid goes through his legs for a nasty dunk (video)
By Andrew Ross
We won’t get to see Joel Embiid play any real minutes until next season, but this dunk is a nice tease for what’s in the future.
Joel Embiid has been out for the entire season after having screws put into his navicular bone to repair a fractured foot, but he appears to be in pretty good shape and is finally providing us some stuff to admire.
Prior to Friday night’s game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Utah Jazz, Embiid decided to put on a little show with an awesome pregame dunk.
A 7-foot person isn’t supposed to do things like that.

Obviously this isn’t more than just a dunk, but I think it’s worth looking into a little bit.
Earlier this year, there were reports that the 76ers were worried about Embiid’s conditioning and that the Kansas star had already put on 50 pounds. I don’t know about you, but this doesn’t look like a man that is out of shape.
If anything, he already looks much more physically impressive than he did last year in college. He wasn’t Kevin Durant at Kansas, but he was a pretty thin big man that had a lot of room to grow – and that growth is already starting to happen.
I can’t wait to see Embiid on the court next year.
