Metta World Peace says Kobe Bryant will win a title next year (Video)

Metta World Peace believes his former teammate Kobe Bryant will win his sixth NBA championship next season.
Most NBA fans have seemingly come to grips that Kobe Bryant will never win another NBA title. He’s 36, had his past three seasons cuts short due to injury and is on a Los Angeles Lakers team that has one of the worst roster situations in the entire league. At this point, it’s certainly fair for us to wonder whether Bryant will even play another playoff game.
However, Metta World Peace is not like the rest of us. The former NBA player caught up with TMZ recently and said that Bryant will win a championship next season.
On the surface, World Peace’s prediction is absurd. Bryant is not going to lead the Lakers to a title next year. Los Angeles is in store for a long rebuild that will stretch well beyond Kobe’s retirement.

But it’s hard to blame World Peace too much for his comments. It’s unlikely he actually thinks the Lakers are going to win it all next season. But he’s a won a title with Bryant and the two are likely friends, so it really wouldn’t be cool of him to tell TMZ that Kobe has no shot at another ring.
However, we have a problem on our hands if World Peace actually thinks the Lakers are going to win it all next season.
