Illinois’ Rayvonte Rice threw one down right on Purdue’s home court
Illinois and Purdue are both trying to rack up as many wins as possible to earn a spot in March Madness. While it was a tightly contested game, it had its fair share of exciting plays, including one memorable play in transition by Illinois.

In the first half, Illinois had the ball in transition down the court. Guard Kendrick Nunn found teammate Rayvonte Rice for an incredible leaping, one-handed alley-oop slam.
Rice caught just enough air to snag the ball with his right hand and throw it down without any remorse for the basket.
Rice and Nunn were both fired up after the gigantic slam.
Both teams were looking to pick up their 20th victory heading into the conference tournament.
With March Madness and Selection Sunday drawing near, both teams need to strengthen their resumes as much as possible if they want the selection committee to give them a spot in the tournament.
For the fans’ sake, hopefully Illinois can pick up a few wins in the tournament so everyone can see some more dunks from Rayvonte Rice.
Credit to Nunn for the perfect left-handed lob.
