The final Big 10 conference contest 0f the season for Rutgers and Michigan came to a brief halt Saturday

This season hasn’t been too kind to Rutgers or Michigan. Saturday, the agony of the 2014-15 basketball season was extended just a little longer for both Big 10 programs.

During the first half of the final game for both basketball teams, the lights went out in the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor.

Just as the Scarlet Knights were dribbling up the court looking to score a bucket and pull the game back within reach, the power went out.

Good thing they had an electrician on hand.

The power going out during a game is nothing new sports. Heck, it even happened during the Super Bowl once.

The power in the arena was quickly restored and the game continued for both teams.

Michigan would pull off the victory in their final home game of the season as Aubrey Dawkins absolutely went off for the Wolverines, scoring 31 points in 37 minutes of action. Michigan finishes the season at 15-15 on the year while Rutgers falls to 10-21.

In a season that has been long for both teams, it is only fitting the final game was made even longer.

As for the power inside the arena, hopefully it’s ready to go for next season as well.
