The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly interested in Green Bay cornerback Tramon Williams.
The Philadelphia Eagles shook heads and confused everyone when they traded their best player, running back LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills for linebacker Kiko Alonso last week, but the move to create cap space is paying off so far.

It was reported Sunday that the Philadelphia Eagles are set to sign Seattle Seahawks free agent star cornerback Byron Maxwell when free agency starts on Tuesday to a 5-year deal and are also set sign San Francisco 49ers free agent, running back Frank Gore to a three-year deal with $7.5 million guaranteed in the first two years to replace LeSean McCoy.
Now, the Eagles continue to make noise as they are reportedly targeting Green Bay Packers free agent, cornerback Tramon Williams to pair with Byron Maxwell.
Who do #Eagles have an interest in pairing with Byron Maxwell? Green Bay #Packers Tramon Williams, per source.

Tramon Williams turned 31 in March, and the NFL veteran corner has been a beast for Green Bay in the last eight seasons. He had 61 tackles and three interceptions in both 2013 and 2014. It’s not wonder the Eagles are looking to add him.
The Eagles had the 28th defense in the NFL in 2014 and the 31st ranked passing defense. With a solid defensive line and with Kiko Alonso, they’re linebackers are set. The only thing they need to change is their awful secondary. They’ve already taken it to new heights by adding Byron Maxwell who could improve their defense by himself, but if they’re able to add Tramon Williams, look for the Philadelphia Eagles to have a beast of a defense next year.
The only questions that would remain for the Eagles would be their offense, which will be downgraded without LeSean McCoy, but if they’re able to nab Gore who would split carries with Darren Sproles, they could be alright. The Eagles will also look to re-sign their best wide receiver in Jeremy Maclin who is a free agent this offseason.
Rumors have swirled that Philadelphia and former Oregon head coach Chip Kelly may be looking to trade up for former Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota, but it’s very up in the air at this point. We’ll see if the Eagles continue to make big moves.
