NFL free agent running back Chris Johnson was shot in Florida over the weekend.

Scary news out of Florida on Sunday. It looks like free agent running back Chris Johnson, formerly with the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans, was shot in Florida last night.

Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer tweeted out the news and NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport followed up with more details.

The good news first and foremost is that Chris Johnson is alright and multiple reports say he will be okay, including an additional report for Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News and ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

You can see that the details surrounding this incident are still a bit murky. Rapoport reports that Johnson was shot in the arm while Schefter says it was his shoulder. It could be the arm near the shoulder.
