NFL Rumors: Philadelphia Eagles have ‘serious interest’ in Frank Gore
By Josh Hill
Frank Gore and the Philadelphia Eagles make strange bedfellows but could make perfect partners this offseason.
The career of Frank Gore has taken him from coast-to-coast, but there may be a stop in Philadelphia before his career is over and done with.

Frank Gore is a free agent this offseason, and there is no guarantee that he’ll be back with the San Francisco 49ers in 2015. There are a handful of teams who make sense for Gore to go to, but the most serious team is one that has come out of the complete blue.
Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com reports that the Philadelphia Eagles are showing a ‘serious interest’ in signing free agent running back Frank Gore.
"“According to a person with knowledge of the situation who requested anonymity, the Eagles have expressed serious interest in San Francisco 49ers free agent running back Frank Gore. The mutual interest is so serious that it is possible a deal could get done as early as Tuesday, the first day free agents can sign with another team.”"
This comes after a morning report from San Francisco that the 49ers feel like they can work something out with Gore to bring him back next season. That would be ideal for Gore, as he has played in San Francisco his whole career and has an established life there.
Then again, he still believes he has tread on the tires, and finding a situation like Philadelphia where he’s part of a running back committee that sees lots of opportunity for action may be even more ideal. LeSean McCoy is gone, Darren Sproles is aged and there isn’t much to the running game beyond spare parts. Gore may be aged, but he will have plenty of chances to see the ball both through the air and on the ground in Philly.
It may not make total sense on the surface, but then again nothing Chip Kelly does or says makes much sense anyways so why not just go with the flow?
