The Eagles are making re-signing Jeremy Maclin one of their priorities

The Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the most active teams thus far in the beginning stages of free agency. Before the negotiation window opened, the Eagles traded LeSean McCoy to the Bills for Kiko Alonso. They also reportedly have Byron Maxwell and Frank Gore coming to town.

The next big move for the Eagles appears to be retaining the services of wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.

Maclin is coming off the best season of his career where had 1,318 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. He also made his first appearance in the Pro Bowl.

According to Jason La Canfora, the Eagles are making a push to retain Maclin and keep him in Philadelphia.

Chip Kelly and the Eagles are continuing to make big moves this off-season and in less than a week, they have completely changed the dynamics of their team.

They’ve been the biggest players since the free agency window opened and don’t appear to be stopping any time soon.

Bringing Maclin back should be a must for the Eagles. With Nick Foles back and healthy this year, he is going to need his favorite target to throw to.

The Eagles will have to pay big bucks to keep Maclin as many teams won’t be afraid to give him the money he wants in free agency.

The Eagles do have capable receivers on the roster such as Riley Cooper, Jordan Matthews and Josh Huff, but none are the game changer that Maclin is.

If the Eagles are able to bring Maclin back, they could easily be considered one of the biggest winners of free agency and the off-season before the draft has even arrived. The team has added Alonso, and reportedly Maxwell and Gore.

Bringing Maclin back would make them serious threats to the NFC East crown and a big time contender in the NFC.
