Dahntay Jones was fined $10,000 dollars for what seemed like an intentional bump into Golden State Warriors forward, Draymond Green

After the Golden State Warriors beat the LA Clippers 106-98, Dahntay Jones gave Draymond Green a little bump during a post game interview. Green was coming off a stellar performance, scoring 23 points to push the Warriors past their Western Conference rival. So Jones felt the need to make a little violent contact with the Warriors’ forward.

Jones, despite not playing, had no hesitation in making his presence felt during the post game activities. But these actions are not to go without consequences. Jones will get find $10,000 dollars for his incident after the game.

Green, rather than yelling at Jones or reacting in such a way that would reflect poorly upon his character, gave him a stare down that said all he needed to before finishing his interview.

Probably a fair punishment. The NBA tries its best to uphold a professional atmosphere before, during, and after games. It was clear by the death stare Green gave Jones and the fine the NBA implemented that this behavior is not acceptable.

It was probably a good thing that Draymond took everything in stride and didn’t let it bother him too much. After all, his Warriors are one of the best teams in the NBA right now. They are playing phenomenal team basketball at exactly the right time as the playoffs are rapidly approaching.

As for Jones, he did not even get a chance to enter the game. And his LA Clippers are still 10 games behind the Warriors in the Western conference finals. So Green shouldn’t let it bother him too much.
