Whiteside is incredibly talented but has seen very little action since being drafted in 2010, and some believe that is because of his character and immaturity ā and it looks like some of those bad traits are starting to come out.
Hopefully itās just a fluke, but the center has had a bad couple of Mondayās. First it was last week when he basically tackled Alex Len on the Phoenix Suns.
Whiteside was ejected for the incident, but most people didnāt think much of it. In fact, the vibes given from those on social media thought it was humorous.
Tonight the Miami Heat were hosting the Boston Celtics, and Whiteside got ejected ā again ā but this time it was a lot uglier.
You can see Whiteside is getting chippy with Kelly Olynyk at the beginning of the video, and then he takes a brutal cheap shot whenever Olynyk is looking away. It wasnāt a basketball play at all, and it looks like Whiteside just snaps and goes after him like a mad man.
Thankfully Olynyk was alright after the blow, but this did look like something that could have actually hurt him.
It doesnāt matter how good you are playing, Whiteside, these are the types of things that will get people rooting against you.
