The New York Jets already signed Darrelle Revis, but they also could very well bring inĀ Antonio Cromartie as well.
In 2012, the New York Jets had the best defense in the league and the main reason why was because of their secondary, which was led by Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie. Both were top-ten cornerbacks at the time, while Revis was arguably the best in football. So far in free agency, the Jets have already landed perhaps the best defensive player available in Revis, but they also have interest in bringing back Cromartie. If that is the case, the Jets would field the same cornerbacks they had in 2012 in 2015.
According to Connor Hughes, one of the Jetsā beat writers, talks are still alive between the Jets and Cromartie.

When the 2015
season rolls around, Cromartie will be 31 years old, however, he still has some gas left in the tank. Many forget this, but Cromartie played extremely well with the
in 2014 and if he does indeed sign with the Jets, he would not only return to the team he was with for four years, but he would also reunite with Todd Bowles, who was Cromartieās defensive coordinator in Arizona and is now the head coach of the Jets.
Despite the Jetsā interest, Cromartie went on national television earlier today talking about the Dallas Cowboys and how he would be the perfect fit to their puzzle.
"āTheyāre only missing one key piece and thatās the piece in the secondary. I feel like I can be that piece to help and go in and win a championship and get the Dallas Cowboys back where theyāre supposed to be.āāTheyāre only missing one key piece and thatās the piece in the secondary. I feel like I can be that piece to help and go in and win a championship and get the Dallas Cowboys back where theyāre supposed to be.ā"
Regardless, returning to the Jets would make sense as Gang Green was loyal to Cromartie and they also developed him further into the player he is today. By coming back to the Jets, Cromartie would team up with Revis again. Considering the play they received from their incompetent cornerbacks last year, Jets fans must be licking their chops over the possibility of having both Revis and Cromartie on the roster again.
