The New York Jets came out as the favorites to sign Darrelle RevisĀ as soon as free agency started, but the New England Patriots remain in the mix.Ā

As free agency opened, Darrelle Revis is the top corner available for teams to sign. The New York Jets appeared to be the favorites to sign him onto their roster, but the deal is not complete at the time and the New England Patriots are still in thee mix. The Patriots are expected to make another push to get him.

More from New England Patriots

How much will Revis be able to drive up his price with these two teams battling it out for his services? Revis must be loving the bidding war that he can create for the two teams. He should make a ton of dough from one of the teams.

The Patriots can offer the money, but also can offer the championship opportunity. That opportunity does not come with all teams and likely will not come from the Jets this season. Revis still wants to get compensated for his services. The Pats will have to make a fair offer for him to stick around. He is looking for the dough and if the opportunity to play with a championship team is there then itĀ will be something that he considers.

There were other teams that were interested in bringing Revis onto their roster, but it seems that it will come down to the two AFC East teams. Who will win the battle for Revis? Will it be the New England Patriots or will it be the New York Jets? It seems that he will be landing in the AFC East and will either be playing for his former team or his current team.
