The deal won’t be official until after the 4PM free agency deadline pass on Tuesday. However, Williams is reportedly on his way to Seattle to sign a three year deal worth $18 million.

In effect, Williams is simply swapping places with Seattle cornerback Byron Maxwell who is expected to sign a jaw-dropping deal with the Eagles as soon as free agency starts. Six years, $63 million and $25 million guaranteed.

Williams played two seasons for the Eagles and started all 33 games between regular season playoffs during that time. The downside is that he played in secondary that allowed the most passing yards in the league in 2013 and the second most in 2014.

The beginning of Williams’ tenure with the Eagles in 2013 got attention for the wrong reasons. He missed most of the offseason workouts that year, after signing a deal with the Eagles fresh off four years in Baltimore. His reasoning was that he’d just won a Super Bowl and needed some time off.

That wasn’t the end of it either. In training camp, the Eagles had a joint practice session with the Patriots and Williams ended up in a fistfight with Patriots receiver Aaron Dobson. Both Belichick and Eagles coach Chip Kelly agreed to kick Dobson and Williams out of practice.

Still optimistic? Nope, that still wasn’t the last incident. Later in training camp, Williams got in a fight with Eagles receiver Riley Cooper. That was after Cooper had been disciplined himself for his racial outburst at a concert.

Last year Willams had 56 tackles, four assists and two interceptions. In 2013, he had three interceptions and during the Super Bowl year with the Ravens, he had four.
