San Francisco 49ers FB Bruce Miller was arrested on Thursday for spousal abuse. 

San Francisco fans are having a bad week. Free agency is set to open up, but the fans are not getting much good news going in their direction. The latest news has their fullback getting arrested for spousal abuse.

49ers FB Bruce Miller was arrested on Thursday for a misdemeanor charge of spousal abuse, according to the Santa Clara Police arrest log. The 49ers were almost able to sneak the news past the media, but the news was revealed on Monday on Miller.

“The San Francisco 49ers organization is aware of the matter involving Bruce Miller,” the team said in a release. “We were disappointed to learn of these reports and will do our due diligence in collecting all relevant information.”

Miller signed a 3-year contract extension last offseason with the 49ers. Last season, he caught 18 passes for 189 yards and 2 scores. He played in all 16 games for the team and has been a solid contributor. What will they do with Miller now?

It is a tough time to be a 49ers fan. It has been a real tough week for the team. First, a couple of key players on the defense have decided to retire. Patrick Willis and Justin Smith will no longer be dominating on the defensive side of the ball. Those are a couple of superstar players that will no longer be flying to the football.

Another long time 49er, Frank Gore, has decided to pack his bags up and sign with the Philadelphia Eagles. He then changed his mind and will sign with the Indianapolis Colts. We will see if he has any more change of hearts with the opening of free agency today. Now, Bruce Miller has been arrested for spousal abuse. What other news can the 49ers fans handle this week?

At least the team was able to quiet down the Colin Kaepernick trade rumors.
