Alex Rodriguez belts first home run of spring training vs Red Sox (Video)

Alex Rodriguez took another positive step forward on Wednesday, this time belting his first home run since 2013
Since the spring training season began, all eyes have been on the New York Yankees and the progression of Alex Rodriguez, who is coming off a year-long suspension for his ties to PEDs. So far, Rodriguez has been pretty solid at the plate, although coming into Wednesday, he had yet to hit one out of the park.
Well, that changed on Wednesday.
In the fourth inning of the Yankees’ clash with the rival Red Sox on Wednesday during their spring outing, Rodriguez blasted this solo shot, marking the first time since Sept. of 2013 that he hit a home run.
That is the A-Rod that Yankees fans have been looking for, and you can certainly see that he still has the power and ability to perform at the level that made him such a star in the league to begin with. With the Yankees going through a bit of a transition period this season, we all knew coming in that they really need A-Rod at the highest level he possibly could be.
This home run against the Red Sox on Wednesday was a very good sign for those rooting for Alex Rodriguez to get back to where he was.
