According to reports, the St. Louis Rams are expected to re-sign receiver Kenny Britt

After acquiring Nick Foles from the Philadelphia Eagles, the St. Louis Rams have to put some weapons around their new quarterback. One of those weapons could be on their own roster.

More from Los Angeles Rams

According to Mike Silver, he expects the Rams to re-sign Kenny Britt soon.

Britt had 748 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 2014 playing with multiple quarterbacks after Sam Bradford was injured before the season began.

Now, he is expected to be one of the primary targets for the quarterback Bradford was traded for.

The Rams also have other weapons for Nick Foles to throw to, including Tavon Austin and recently re-signed tight end Lance Kendricks.

Despite playing with multiple quarterbacks in 2014, Britt had the second-best season of his career.

With the San Francisco 49ers overhauling their entire roster, the Rams have a chance to rise in the NFC West. Over the past few seasons the defense in St. Louis has quietly evolved into one of the more dominant defenses with their dynamic defensive line.

Adding a growing offense to the defense will only help St. Louis as they go forward. With Foles, the team has a chance to have an offense with a stable quarterback. Something they never had with Sam Bradford who was oft-injured.

Britt is a big target for Foles and if the Rams receiver can continue to build some chemistry in his second year as a member of the team, the Rams offense has a shot at greatly improving.

The Rams will also feature new offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti, who will run the team’s offense. The Rams will feature a new offensive system that they hope will match their defense.

It sure sounds like Britt could be returning to help establish that new system.
