Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford is already trying to recruit elite players to his new team — specially DeMarco Murray.
The Philadelphia Eagles traded for Sam Bradford on Tuesday and he appears to already be paying off. He has yet to hit the field and his physical is going to be an abomination thanks to his torn ACL from 2014, but he’s hitting the recruiting trail in a way that will win him fans in Philadelphia.
According to Albert Breer from NFL Network, new Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford is already proving useful for Chip Kelly as he’s actively recruiting DeMarco Murray to play in Philly.
Bradford and Murray go back to their days at Oklahoma, as they were roommates at school and came up together. There’s history between Murray and Bradford and it’s one that could end with the former Cowboys running back moving to a division rival.
Of course, the Eagles have final say on what Murray makes on his contract with them — should one be offered — and so far no one has been able to meet Murray’s demands. He will have to lower his expectations, and when he does the Eagles may see it as a bargain to land him.
Bradford may not be ready to lead the Eagles yet, but he’s already starting to help the team in ways no one anticipated when he was traded.
