The Philadelphia Eagles are looking at signing DeMarco Murray, but the running back would consider an offer from the Dallas Cowboys before inking a deal.

DeMarco Murray is hoping to get the free agent deal he covets in the coming days, and the Philadelphia Eagles are looking to give it to him — within reason. But just because he’s getting interest from the Eagles to the point where Adam Schefter is reporting that the deal is going to end up happening.

The Dallas Cowboys are trying to get Murray back but aren’t going to overpay to get him. That doesn’t mean they’re going to pass on him if it comes down to being their decision. Murray is reportedly going to be give the Cowboys a chance to match any offer that he’s given on the open market before he’s signs anything.

While it’s not specifically stated that the Cowboys are getting final say, that’s basically what Murray is allowing them by saying he’ll consider a final offer.

The Eagles haven’t finalized their offer to Ryan Mathews, and if DeMarco Murray comes to town then that could change some things with this status. It would be a bad look for the Eagles to renege on their deal with Mathews, but getting Murray would be a steal.

Nothing is official and nothing is pending but Murray is going to find a deal in the coming days and that could end up being in Philly.
