The North Carolina Tar Heels were able to advance in the ACC Tournament on Thursday and will now face Virginia

The ACC Tournament continued on Thursday, and with the first two games now in the books, we know who will be facing off in the semifinals come Friday.

Earlier in the day, Virginia was able to hold off a late surge from Florida State to keep themselves in the hunt. While they led throughout, Florida State did their best to ruin Virginia’s hopes in the end, but the Cavaliers acted like the top seed that they are and were able to fend off the effort.

From there, the question turned to who they would be playing in the semifinals, Louisville or North Carolina? That was the match up in the second game of the afternoon in Greensboro. Well, that one’s in the books and we now know that it will be the North Carolina Tar Heels that are advancing on.

In a great game, North Carolina was able to hold on for the win and keep their title hopes alive.

Here’s a look at the updated bracket with the match up for Friday now set.
