Kyrie Irving drops 57 against the Spurs
A couple weeks ago Kyrie Irving scored 55 points in a game versus the Portland Trail Blazers. We all thought that would end up being his high mark for the season. We were all wrong. Kyrie went bonkers again last night versus the Spurs, as he scored 57 points and brought the Cavs back from a 10 point deficit to beat the Spurs in overtime. If you want to see all of his 57 points you can do so here, but we’ll show you his game-tying 3 at the buzzer to send the game to OT.
Spurs kid gives LeBron the double-bird
Really, this is spectacular all-around. The kid gets so amped up when LeBron walks by him, and he already has it in his head. He thrusts out his arms, and executes the double-bird in perfect form. Then, the dad shows some incredible quickness to get the kids’ arms down, so LeBron doesn’t see him and get angry and score more points on the Spurs than he already had.
Rudy Gobert is a terrifying monster
While Kyrie Irving took most of the national attention last night, there was more NBA action going on last night. The best individual performance from the other games was Rudy Gobert scoring 19 points, snatching an unbelievable 22 boards, and also tallying 4 blocks. Oh, and he put Terrence Jones on a poster for good measure.
Otto Porter can’t quite complete the oop
Otto Porter is starting to become a regular contributor to the NBA’s blooper real. First there was the defensive possession where he just stood by himself for a couple seconds, and now he can’t finish the alley-oop. Paul Pierce can’t even believe it! What will Otto do next?
