Florida Panthers score insane diving goal (Video)
By Cory Buck
Florida Panthers forward Derek MacKenzie scored a crazy diving goal off a no-look pass from Dave Bolland in Thursday NHL action.
The Florida Panthers scored a goal that looked like it was pulled from the latest Mighty Ducks movie. It had all the makings of an improbable goal that could never really happen. You have a wild no-look pass that somehow evades the sticks of multiple defenders. You then have a forward diving full-bore to tip said pass just past the goaltender.
Oh, and those two players? Third line grinders who have eight goals combined this season. Ladies and gentlemen, we present the feel-good goal of the year.

The Panthers ended up winning this game and gaining a crucial two points in their race for the final Wild Card spot in the NHL playoffs. They’re chasing a Boston Bruins squad that is heating up at the right time.
Unfortunately for the Winnipeg Jets, they’re in the same boat as the Panthers and for the second game this week, they missed out on two points thanks to a late goal against. Aleksander Barkov scored with four minutes left to give Florida a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.
