Dekker scored a team-high 17 points on 7-12 shooting and a game-high six assists and six rebounds in an all-around great game as Bo Ryan’s team improved to 29-3 on the year and two wins away from the Big Ten Tournament title as they look to secure a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The seeds will be announced on Sunday evening and as long as Wisconsin keeps winning, they’ll keep themselves in the conversation for a No. 1 seed.
Player of the Year candidate, Frank Kaminsky added 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. Bronson Koenig and Nigel Hayes chipped in with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Michigan got 21 points from Zak Irvin who also added 11 rebounds, but the Wolverines guard didn’t get much help from his teammates as the Badgers held the rest of his teammates to a total of 39 points.
Wisconsin matches up well against either Purdue or Penn State who upset Iowa yesterday and look like they are on a collision course with either Michigan State or Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament championship game.
Do you think Wisconsin can cut down the nets and win the conference tournament in addition to their regular season conference championship?
Who do you think presents the toughest challenge in their pursuit of the tournament title?
