After the semifinal action of the AAC Tournament on Saturday, it will be SMU and UConn going at it for the title on Sunday


Saturday brought us the action of the 2015 AAC Tournament as the semifinals played out. And with both games all said and done now, we know that Sunday we will see SMU take on UConn to see who will walk away as the AAC Tournament champion for this year.

In the first game of the afternoon, top-seeded SMU was able to take care of Temple to secure their spot in the title game. This SMU team under Larry Brown has been nothing short of spectacular, and while they should have been in the tournament field last year, there’s no doubt that they will be in the fold this year. A win on Sunday would just be some icing on the cake.

Now the second game of the afternoon showed us, once again, that the UConn Huskies are not going quietly into the night and they really want to defend their title. They took care of Tulsa to keep this momentum rolling, and if they can get one more win on Sunday, then they’ll be in good shape.
