Adrian Peterson rumors: Cardinals ready to offer ‘high draft pick’ in trade
By Josh Hill
The Minnesota Vikings are hoping they can keep Adrian Peterson, but the Arizona Cardinals might be ready to make it worth it to let him go.
The drama between the Minnesota Vikings and Adrian Peterson is continuing to get more and more brutal to watch, and it could end up leading to a trade that we’ve all been expecting for a while now.

Peterson has listed the Arizona Cardinals among the teams he wishes to play for, and that could be a wish that is granted soon. If the Vikings are going to trade Peterson, they would do it before the NFL Draft which is good news for the Cardinals.
According to Charles Robinson from Yahoo! Sports, the Arizona Cardinals would be ready to offer up a very high draft pick if Adrian Peterson hit the trade block in an official way.
If the Cardinals landed Peterson, they’d almost certainly trade a first-round pick for him. That would be the 24th overall pick but they also have the 55th overall pick in the second round which they could flip for Peterson.
Basically, the Cardinals have the means to get Peterson and the interest would no doubt be mutual. Arizona can’t recruit Peterson thanks to tampering rules, but if he were to become available, the Cardinals jumping at Peterson would hardly be surprising.
