The Celtics are in the process of rebuilding their roster, and their younger players along with the veterans are making a late run toward the postseason. However as Boston rookie Marcus Smart found out Saturday night, things aren’t always easy.
Driving for a layup, Smart was met at the hoop by Pacers center Roy Hibbert — and the contest ended in violent fashion soon thereafter.
Hibbert leaping across the paint went with the opposite hand as he made the big time swat with his left hand.
While some blocks are big and can be felt from the stands, Hibbert’s block of Smart was graceful as it felt like slow motion as he ascended to block the shot.
