5. Stephen Curry’s MVP Caliber Season

Obviously the number one thing when it comes to the Golden State Warriors this season is the play of star point guard Stephen Curry. He has worked his way to become one of the league’s top players and he has shown no signs of slowing down.

Curry has stepped up as a leader of the Warriors and has also been putting together an MVP caliber season. He has strong competition in James Harden and of course LeBron James, but he will be in the consideration for the award.

Through the 63 games that he has played, Curry has averaged 23.6 points, 7.8 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game.

There aren’t many players that can take over a game offensively like Curry can, and the Warriors are relying on him nearly each and every night. He has lived up to the challenge and the Warriors are continuing their dominant play.

Without him, they wouldn’t be anything near a championship team, but he is the main reason that they are going to win the Western Conference and win a title this season.
